About Kristin: The teen years can feel like navigating a maze without a map. As a parent, it can be difficult to watch your child struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, school stress, social media, friendships, family changes, or low self-esteem. You don't have to navigate it alone.
Kristin Wetzel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than 20 years of experience helping adolescents and young adults navigate life's challenges. After spending two decades working in a high school setting, she understands the unique pressures teens face and has helped hundreds of young people build confidence, improve emotional well-being, and develop healthy coping skills.
Kristin believes therapy should be a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where teens feel comfortable being themselves. She partners with both adolescents and their families to help clients better understand their emotions, strengthen relationships, improve communication, and develop practical tools they can use long after therapy ends.
Therapeutic Approach: Kristin's therapy style is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused, with sessions that feel like genuine conversations. She uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help teens and young adults manage anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, stress, peer relationships, and life transitions. Her goal is to help each client build resilience, increase self-confidence, and develop the skills needed to thrive both now and in the future.
Availability: In person in Edina, Saturdays. Virtual appointments statewide across Minnesota.
