About Paul: Many people come to therapy expressing something like: "part of me says this, but another part wants that." This internal tension can lead to feelings of confusion, loneliness, overwhelming worry, and shame. If it feels like competing emotions are getting in the way of your best self, therapy can help you feel better and move through the world with greater confidence and clarity.

Therapeutic Approach: Paul's framework emphasizes Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Narrative Therapy, using mindfulness, creativity, and self-compassion to move beneath surface symptoms and address the deeper beliefs rooted in anxiety and loneliness. By establishing insight into the interconnected nature of emotion, physiology, and culture, he helps clients reconcile competing narratives about how they "should" be in the world — and develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves. His goal is to be present, open, and genuinely connected with each client throughout that process.

Availability: In person in St. Paul | Virtual appointments available statewide across Minnesota. Evening and weekend appointments available.
