About Laura: Laura aims to create a space where clients feel comfortable, safe, and validated in sharing their experiences and stories. Her hope is to help clients feel empowered to move toward their goals and healing through a warm, genuine therapeutic relationship built on empathy, compassion, and humor. She approaches therapy with a trauma-informed lens and cultural humility, and is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who believes in using eclectic, individualized approaches that align with each client's own values, beliefs, experiences, and goals.

Therapeutic Approach: Laura has many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families from diverse backgrounds. This includes work as a behavioral practitioner with young children with developmental disabilities, over seven years of counseling in school settings, and serving as a counselor educator for graduate students. She has received specialized training in LGBTQIA+ supports, trauma-informed care, suicidal ideation, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is particularly passionate about supporting families with prevention and treatment of mental health concerns related to pregnancy, postpartum, and childbearing.
