About Bill: Bill is passionate about helping people live happier, healthier lives filled with meaning and purpose. He offers a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their goals and discover the steps to move forward. He sees counseling as a collaborative journey — one where clients feel empowered, gain clarity, and build excitement for what lies ahead.

Bill brings years of experience as a former school counselor supporting children and teens, as well as extensive training in working with adults of all ages. He is LGBTQ+-affirming, culturally humble, and committed to creating an inclusive and caring environment for everyone he works with.

Therapeutic Approach: Bill earned his MS in School Counseling from South Dakota State University in 1998 and his Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2006. He currently serves as a professor and director of the school counseling program at St. Cloud State University, where he trains future counselors. His dual experience as a practitioner and educator brings a unique depth to each counseling relationship — helping clients feel supported, understood, and ready for their next chapter.
